Shaping the future
Since its establishment in 2021, EDGNEX Data Centers by DAMAC has grown into a high-performing international platform with operations across eleven countries, including the UAE, United States, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Greece, Spain, Finland, and Italy. With a dedicated workforce of over 100 seasoned professionals, the company has positioned itself at the forefront of data center innovation, with a projected global capacity of more than 4,000 MW and an expected delivery of 55 MW in the Middle East alone by the end of 2025.
DAMAC Digital’s Southeast Asia strategy is anchored by more than $3 billion in committed investments, with the region targeting over 300 MW of operational capacity by 2026. Key milestones to date include a 2022 announcement of dual data centers in Dammam and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, totalling 35 MW, with 15 MW already operational. In early 2024, the company signed a joint venture with Vodafone to establish a facility in Izmir, Turkey, backed by a $100 million investment. Just months later, in May, a new 19.2 MW data center was unveiled in Jakarta, Indonesia, with the first phase scheduled for completion by Q2 2026.
DAMAC Digital announced the development of another next-generation AI-powered data center in Jakarta. This milestone project marks one of Southeast Asia’s largest AI-dedicated developments, with a future projected capacity of 144 MW and a total investment of $2.3 billion.
2024 marked further expansion with a €400 million commitment to build a 40 MW facility in Madrid, Spain and a strategic joint venture with Thailand’s ProEN with plans to launch data centers valued at $1 billion. The Group partnered with Greece’s Public Power Corporation on a €150 million investment and revealed its most ambitious undertaking yet in January 2025 announcing an initial $20 billion investment to develop data centers across eight U.S. states, with a combined capacity of 2,000 MW.
DAMAC Digital represents more than a name—it is a bold statement of intent. It signifies the Group’s vision to not only participate in but lead the next wave of digital infrastructure development, delivering long-term value to clients, partners, and the global digital economy.
